A “new to us” CHMER Wire EDM machine was brought in to replace our aging Mitsubishi unit in the tool room. The larger CHMER machine increased our maximum workpiece size and weight, this should help us keep more tool repair in house, while also allowing for a faster feed rate as well. Our toolroom utilizes the wire machine mainly for hardened steel die sections, buttons, and other forms.
